Tim L. Johnson, 49, of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 21, 2026. He was born on September 7, 1976, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
A beloved father, son, brother, friend, and life partner, Tim was known for his intelligence, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping others. He spent part of his early years in Massachusetts, where he was first introduced to computers and technology-an experience that would profoundly shape his life.
Tim returned to Corpus Christi, where he graduated from high school, played football, and worked at a local country club. In 1996, he enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Computer Science and graduated in 2000. A lifelong Texas Longhorn football fan, Tim proudly supported his team-Hook 'em!
After college, Tim moved to Houston, where he built a career in technology and analytics. He later earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston. Throughout his life, Tim remained deeply committed to advocating for marginalized communities and working toward the eradication of homelessness, guided by a strong belief in equity and social justice.
A lifelong learner, Tim loved chess, reading The New York Times, listening to NPR, solving daily crossword puzzles, and teaching himself new skills. He was admired for his sharp mind, generous spirit, and genuine kindness, becoming endeared to everyone whose path he crossed.
Tim is survived by his children, Saachi Adeline Johnson (19) and Julien Kesete Johnson (17), who were the center of his world; and by his longtime friend and life partner, Wendy M. Richard, along with many family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
