Tim Nelsen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams-Kampp Funeral Home on Aug. 10, 2024.
Tim Nelsen August 25, 1959 – August 7, 2024
Tim Nelsen (Glen Ellyn) passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2024. Tim was a loving husband of 32 years to Eileen (Brennan) and loving father to Andy, Erin and Timmy. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Nelsen.
In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by Barb Nelsen, his in-laws, Brigid Duffield, Peggy Brennan-Matyas (Sam), Sheila Ingram (Paul), Mary Brennan, Patrick Brennan (Katy), Anne Urban (Tony), Terry Brennan and many nieces and nephews.
He was a man full of life, laughter and love. Second to his family, one of Tim's many loves was landscaping. When his oldest son Andy was born, he began his landscaping company DuPage Lawn Enforcers. Tim and Eileen managed the family business for 27 years. Tim could be seen working around and taking care of the homes and the Valley View community with his family. Tim was proud to have his son Timmy join the family business and work alongside him.
Tim most enjoyed being home with his family. The back yard was his paradise where he grew different flowers and had all varieties of nature life flying, roaming, and running through his yard. His loved his animals, the dogs Zoey and Buddy, the chicken family he raised and the bunny that adopted him Hummingbird feeders in his back yard sanctuary were always filled and he enjoyed watching them. He bonded with his children over all outdoor life. He had a passion for grilling, swimming, and working in his vegetable garden with his children and teaching them about his interests. He was known for his love of working in the garage, his man cave, and blasting his rock music jamming out.
He loved all things nature and all animals, where he found his spirituality and connection to his Higher Power. Tim was fascinated by anything supernatural and news relating to extraterrestrials.
He loved the wind in his face and the freedom and joy of riding his Harley motorcycle.
The summer time was his favorite season, and the family is grateful he got to experience it one last time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry, 55 N. Park Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137

I loved working for Tim. Everyday was like getting to exercise outside. Tim and I were a great team. We would mow lawns in like 10 minutes. Everyday was fun working for him. I remember hanging out after work all the time. I started working for Tim when he still had his small garage, before he build his mansion of a garage. It was always a good time with him. I still can´t drive by a freshly mowed lawn and not appreciate good stripes.

Tim was an amazing guy. We´ll never forget that time, after a huge snowfall, Tim plowed one lane through every Valley street so people could begin to get un-snowbound.
