Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel - Swartz CreekTim Charles Standfest, 81, of Flint, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Flint, MI.
Born in Detroit, on June 16, 1944, he was the son of Charles and Wanda (Biernacki) Standfest. Tim retired from the State of Michigan after 31 years, the final 19 of those years as Assistant Director of the Credit Union Division. An avid outdoorsman fishing was his lifelong passion and would have gone every day if he could have, he also loved hunting turkey, pheasant and deer. He enjoyed watching sports, baseball, football and hockey and was a big Detroit fan. Tim also enjoyed cooking and was famous for his fudge, date bars, ham rolls and stuffed cabbage, He also enjoyed woodworking. Most of all he loved and cherished his family and time spent together.
Tim is survived by his children, Todd (Kathy) Standfest, Michelle(Rod) Shell and Kevin(Lori) Standfest; grandchildren: Nicholle (Christopher) Gingrich, Isaac (Aubrey) Shell, Kendra (Abram) Anderson, Makayla (Zachary) Cazzell, Ashlyn Standfest, Kylie Standfest and Kelli Standfest and Aaron (Tanya) Hergenreder; five great grandchildren Joel and Caden Shell and Sadie Cazzell and Alex and Austin Hergenreder, and many other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ted Standfest.
There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1-4 pm at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, MI 48473.
