Tim Steele, affectionately known as "Batman," passed away on January 25, 2026, in Iuka, MS. He was born on October 19, 1952, in Florence, Alabama. Tim had a rich life filled with interests that brought him joy, including genealogy and researching his family tree, as well as his passion for HAM radios and CB radios. He also enjoyed reading, which provided him with countless adventures and knowledge. Tim was a dual member of Burnsville Lodge #233 F&AM and Iuka Lodge #94 F&AM, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason where he was a member of the 4th Degree Team, a York Rite Mason, and a Shriner. 

In his life, Tim was a devoted family man. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Smith (Chris), and his son, Shane Steele (Angela). He was a proud grandfather, with grandchildren Allie Peters (Casey), Sarah Steele, Aaron Steele (Riley), and CJ Smith. He is also survived by his brother, Patrick Steele.

Tim is predeceased by his parents, Ralph Steele and Ann Harvey, and a sister, Sheryl Steele Patterson. He also mourned the loss of his granddaughter, AnaClaire Steele and his grandson, Elijah Steele, as well as his great-grandson, Kaden Steele.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will take place on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM, also at Cutshall Funeral Home. Burial with Masonic Rites will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
