AE Funeral Services - ShawneeTimmy Martin Cross, 61, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on November 10, 2025, after a series of health issues and surgery. He was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, on January 31, 1964, to Leo Cross and Korah (Thompson) Cross.
Tim graduated from Dale High School in 1982. He completed classes in mechanics and car bodywork while in high school, and his first job was with his dad at Cross Auto, kicking off a long career in bodywork and custom painting. He eventually co-owned a company called Extreme Colors in Seminole, Oklahoma. When Tim left the body work business, he developed an RV park called Hickory Creek in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Later, he sold and moved to his current home in Shawnee.
Tim was an entrepreneur and a dreamer throughout his life. As a young man, many people knew him because of the fireworks stand he owned and the bottle rocket wars on E. Farrell St. He accomplished dreams when there seemed no way possible.
Tim married Margaret White, and they had a son, Bradley. After their divorce, he married Lisa Colombus and gained two bonus stepchildren, Nikki and Stephen. He also had a son named Skylar Smith.
Tim’s interests included metal detecting, fishing, which he called “catching”, and upgrading classic cars. He loved family time and playing games “to win”. He was the BBQ King and fed many people over the years, and he loved helping people. He LOVED his dog, Rosie, dearly and accepted his son’s dog, Luna, into his home after the recent death of his son, Bradley.
Tim was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Cross; mother, Korah Cross; grandparents, Gary and Irene Kissell and Ezra and Elzie Cross
Loving survivors are his father, Leo Cross and stepmother, Martha Cross; son, Skylar Smith; stepchildren, Nikki and Stephen; grandchildren: Aydon, Kyler, Brayden, Riley, Trigger, and Skyler; sisters and spouses: Diana and Gary Hollingshead and Gayle and Paul Hornbeck; aunts and uncles: Don and Abbie Cross, Jerry Cross, Terry Drainer, and Bill Cross; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
Tim also had many special caregivers: cousin, Sharon Malley, and friends: Nicole, Sheila, Tony and most recently, Mike.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Tim on Saturday, December 13, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at Life.Church, 5113 N. Harrison St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
