Timothy James Kennedy

Tim Kennedy, 74 of Gillette Wyoming, passed away on Oct 19, 2025. Services will be held on November 1, 2025 at the Gillette Memorial Chapel at 11am. Followed with burial services at Mt. Pisgah cemetery. Preceding with a friends and family gathering with all of Tim's favorite deserts. Tim was born in Oshkosh Nebraska on Oct 13th, 1951 to James and Avis Kennedy. He had one sister, Cheryl Myers and two brothers, Mike and Pat Kennedy. Tim spent his summers working on ranches, hay fields and hanging out with his friends. He was full of stories of riding their dirt bikes and doing dangerous unsupervised stunts. He met his beautiful wife Karen (Rask) Kennedy and she soon tamed him down. Tim and Karen were married on Dec 11th, 1971 in Alliance Nebraska. Tim Joined the USMC, afterwards he went to college at a veterinary tech school. Tim and Karen Had Three children. Tim, Abbie, and Mike. They lived in Sidney, Nebraska where they owned their own convenience store. This led Tim into his path of petroleum oils. He went to work for Pro Oil in Sidney, Nebraska. He took a position with Fleishley Oil that moved his family to Casper, Wyoming. In time it expanded to Gillette. Tim traveled the county with his oil companies and even went to Istanbul. In 2015, Tim retired from the petroleum industry with MG OIL. After retirement, Tim and Karen enjoyed having more time to go camping, fishing, and traveling with their nine grandkids and all Tim's childhood friends. Tim was preceded in death by his wife Karen Kennedy, mother Avis Simpson, Father James Kennedy, and brothers Mike and Pat Kennedy. Tim left behind two sons Tim “TK” Kennedy (Richelle) and Mike Kennedy (Wendy). One daughter Abbie (Kennedy) Little (Billy). One sister Cheryl (Kennedy) Myers (Larry), nine grandchildren and tons of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Karen L. Kennedy

Karen L. Kennedy, 72, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on April 15, 2025 in Billings, Montana. Karen was born June 18, 1953 in Alliance, Nebraska to Pete and Lillyan (Buchanan) Rask. Karen attended school in Alliance and graduated in June 1971. Karen started working at Jack & Jill Grocery store in Alliance at the age of 15, as a cashier until she graduated high school. She met Tim Kennedy of Oshkosh and they got married on December 11, 1971. Karen and Tim moved to Curtis, Nebraska, where Tim was attending college. In 1972, Karen went to work for Midwec starting on the production line and worked her way up to supervisor. Karen attended several different supervisor classes and a Quality Control Manager school in New York City, New York. Karen transferred to the Midwec division in Sidney and became the quality control manager. In 1977, Karen joined Tim in their C store business for 15 years until moving to Casper, Wyoming. Karen worked for the hospital for three years, then worked for Hult Construction. In 1996 the family moved to Gillette, Wyoming. Karen went to work for M&K oil where she retired after 13 years. Karen loved to go fishing and bowling. All nine of her grandkids became the center of her attention as she spoiled all of them every chance she was given. Karen leaves behind husband Tim of 53 years, sons, Timothy “TK” Kennedy (Richelle), and Mike Kennedy (Wendy). Daughter Abbie L. Kennedy (Little) (Billy). Sisters, Cindy and Kris. Brother, Gary, nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Sisters, Beth, Connie, and Linda, and brother, Allen.
