Timothy Leroy Aukes was born on May 12, 1960 in Blue Earth to Kenneth and Lillian (Meyer) Aukes. He attended Elmore High School, graduating in 1978. Tim went on to attend a vocational tech school for auto mechanics. On December 3, 1982, Tim married the love of his life, Nancy Garmann in Mankato. Together, the couple was blessed with three children.
Tim enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and appreciated nature. He also learned to golf later in life and spent many summer afternoons on the MinnIowa golf course. He was a movie buff and was known to rewatch many of his favorites until he could quote nearly the entire script. His beloved cat, Jack, could often be found on his lap. Most of all, he cherished time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Nancy of Elmore; children, Kara (Andy) Ristau of Elmore, Anthony (Melissa) of Fairmont, and Andrew (Katie) of New Ulm; mother, Lillian Kohlmeyer; siblings, Terry Aukes, Michelle Mendoza, and Staci Thompson; grandchildren, Kyla Roiger, Isabella and Maxine Ristau, and Reed and Russ Aukes; and many more nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Aukes.
