Timothy Joseph Cola Sr.

Timothy Joseph Cola, Sr., a resident and native of New Orleans, LA passed away on February 6, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, LA. He was 64 years old. "Big Tim", as he was affectionately known, graduated from Cohen High School and later joined the United States Navy. After his years of service to his country, he was employed with Tenneco Oil Refinery, and worked the duration of his career as a self employed General Contractor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Cola Sr. and Clara Septh Cola and his brother, Alfred Cola Jr. He is survived by his five children, Timothy (Danielle) Cola, Jr.; Timantha (Clovis Ray) Williams, Timisha Brooks, Ivy (Randell) Wilson and Jabari Brooks; one sister, Faith Cola; 8 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, in-laws, cousins and cherished friends. His big personality and humorous nature will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 2015 Louisiana Ave., New Orleans, Louisiana 70115. Arrangements by DW Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave.
