Timothy Joseph Davis Sr.

Timothy Joseph Davis, Sr. was born on July 10, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of Leonard and Vivian Davis. He grew up in Algiers, Louisiana. He was a proud graduate of L. B. Landry High School in 1961. He was voted Best Dressed for four years. He also attended Southern University at New Orleans, Louisiana.

Timothy (Tim) married his high school sweetheart in 1964. To this union, two children were born: Desmond and Timothy, Jr.

Timothy loved to travel with his family.

Timothy worked for Coke Cola for several years and retired from Avondale Shipyard.

Timothy departed this life on December 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by parents, Leonard Williams Davis and Vivian Lottie Trosclair; one sister, Lottie Pitre (Ivory); six brothers, Freddie, Warren (Juanita), Leonard (Carol), Leslie, Aaron and Roy Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of sixty-one years, Elaine Doyle Davis; two sons Desmond (Charmine) and Timothy Davis, Jr.; four grandchildren, Desmond Davis, Jr. Des'Rae (Bronson), Jayde and Jordyn; two great grandchildren, Mosi and Bastion; sisters-in-law, Anna, Semora, and Linda Davis and a host of nieces, nephews and a loving and supportive Goddaughter, Deidre.

Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of Westbank United Seventh-day Adventist Church and surrounding Seventh-day Adventist Churches are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Westbank United Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2401 General Meyer Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70114. Visitation will take place from 9:00AM – 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 10:00AM, officiated by Pastor Paul Lawrence.
