Obituary for Timothy O'Brient Derricott
May 26, 1959 - October 28, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy O'Brient Derricott, who left this world on October 28, 2025, at the age of 66. Timothy was born on May 26, 1959, to Dorothy Erlene Derricott, who instilled in him the values of kindness, integrity, and perseverance that defined his life.

Timothy proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he received an honorable discharge. His sense of duty, discipline, and compassion for others continued long after his military service. Professionally, Timothy contributed his skills and dedication to a variety of organizations, including GRC Government Contracting and the American Red Cross, where his hard work and generosity touched countless lives.

A graduate of high school and a man who pursued higher learning through several years of college, Timothy believed deeply in education and personal growth. His curiosity, intellect, and warm spirit were evident in everything he did.

Timothy shared his life with his devoted spouse, Kevin Jayson, with whom he built a home filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. He is also survived by his siblings, Ronald McNeill, Roslyn McNeill, and Mark McNeill, all of whom cherished him deeply.

Those who knew Timothy will remember his gentle heart, unwavering loyalty, and the quiet strength he carried through life. Whether in service to his country, his community, or his family, he gave selflessly and loved wholeheartedly. His light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of Timothy's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory, share stories, and reflect on the profound impact he had on those around him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may we find comfort in the love he shared and the legacy he leaves behind.
