Timothy William Gangwer

Timothy William Gangwer, 67, of Risingsun, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his home. He was born December 21, 1957, in Fostoria to Clarence William "Bill" and Emma Agnes (Hill) Gangwer.

Surviving Tim are his children, Andrew LaMarche, Lindsay Gangwer, and Chaunce Gangwer; grandchildren, Jayden Durain and Madisyn Wickard; siblings, Vickie (Dee Clay) Gangwer, Rebecca (Steve) Eisenman, and Thomas (Dorathy) Gangwer; nieces and nephews, Monica (Matt), Ryne (Rebecca), William, Gavin, Brittney (Kelly), and Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Julia Gangwer.

Tim was a 1976 graduate of Lakota High School and Vanguard Vocational and Technology Center. He was a very hard worker all his life, working as a machine repairman at Chrysler and working on the family farm. Tim was a very charitable person, always donating to different organizations and giving to those in need. In his spare time, he would tinker in his barn, working to fix everything, planning for the future, riding his motorcycle back in the day, and loved spending time with family. He will be dearly missed by many.

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, where a Celebration of Life Service will be at noon Saturday, June 7, 2025, officiated by Pastor Ron Merritt. Burial will take place at a later date.
