I will always remember the day when we were home my wife recovering from a car accident. It was a cold winter day and the power had just gone out. I was feeling overwhelmed trying to keep a fire going to warm the house, getting water and caring for Maripat when the doorbell rang. It was Tim. He had brought a pan of just out of the oven scones for us. He seemed like an angel that day and he still does for us. We will miss him and always will remember his kind and helpful nature.

How lovely all it was...
Boats filling with water, running out of gas, leaky waders, wet socks, and mysteriously repaired shoe laces... heading out of Ludville for 10 days with a schedule shocking from New York to Purgatory Ohio with a boat full of Baylucide, motels denying reservations, and access to boat launches closed due to historic floods. There was no man I'd rather have climbing into the passenger seat. You got that "get a little goner" song? Pull up the red bandana and fire up the outlaw Dodge. We've got 2 sites stranded in Pennsylvania and a motel just outside of Toledo... fill up the tanks so that there's no receipts to show what we did to get the job done. Tim... behind the wheel flying past Cleveland traffic laughing hysterically as only he could after a 14 hour shift not just to cover 2 lousy sites, but to beat the boss that gave them to you.
In the calmer moments, no one could talk about the little critters with more care and knowledge than Tim. Great conversations in the truck and in the many restaurants... ooh, especially those Mexican joints... and then the long rides home when the conversation faded to a long silence..... and from the passenger seat a simple quiet...... yep...

I remember Tim as a kind man and an integral member of our work in sea lamprey control. May he walk in the woods of heaven.
