Doug and Lone Vilnius

Tim Johns, a few reflections on our 50 year journey.
Friend, neighbor, gentle giant and someone who was always there when you needed a sounding board, or a toke.
Mediocre Euker player who taught Lone how to cheat to win.
Lone´s big brother who knew how to humble her arrogant husband, being the big brother she never had.
Falsely accusing Doug of not showing him how to stop his motorcycle before crashing into the weeds. We both laughed - months later.
Cheering on the Ute basketball team and never missing a game during that special season. We disagreed on who was the best looking cheerleader.
Sitting on his porch with Dodie, oblivious to the annoying howling of his Beagle.
Following us on our trek west from Michigan (we couldn't shake em) but sad as they headed North (now who´s following?)
Thanks for getting ordained so you could marry Mike and Sandra in our backyard. But I didn't appreciate the `holier than thou´ attitude afterwards.
Thanks for making it possible for us to enjoy Annie by choosing reverse engineering and probably smart of Nancy to reject my DIY offer.
And thanks for being there even when you were . . . .
Say `hi´ to the Big Guy and text us a selfie.
Doug and Lone will miss you and always love you.

It is difficult to say in so few words what Tim has meant to us, but we will try.
Tim was a beloved member of our family, a source of wisdom, support, and endless laughs. His willingness to go above and beyond for us, even becoming ordained to conduct our marriage and tree Christening ceremonies for our little family showed the depth of his love and dedication. (The Zs were his entire congregation after all!) Camping in the Uintahs, family dinners, holiday get togethers, and playing cards (he was a favorite partner in Euchre!) will always be fun memories. Tim's presence brought happiness and joy to those around him. His gentle wisdom, sage advice, loving support, generous laughter, and big heart will be greatly be missed.
We love you, Tim and we love YOU-Nancy, Annie & Ray.
Love, Sandra and Mike Z

Well, we didn´t get to spend a lot of time with Tim and Nancy, the time we were together was always quality time. Tim was kind and wise and such a loyal friend to those who were close to him. Our hearts go out to Nancy and Annie. Rest in peace wonderful man, Lynette and Tim Butler

My favorite memory of Tim Johns is his observation of me and my siblings. He married my oldest sister Nancy, the oldest of seven of us. I am the middle child of the seven siblings, all of us above average in intelligence. (Or I am biased, sue me.) His observation is that we all think we should be in charge. My retort was that some of us are right. The truth probably is we all could be, in our own element. That makes it hard to be close and everything you can be.
