Timothy P. Jones

EDWARDS-Timothy P. Jones, age 72, of Edwards, NY passed peacefully on Thursday, February 26th after an evening surrounded by family.

He was born in Ogdensburg on February 23rd, 1954. He spent his childhood in Fine, NY with parents Dorothy and Kermit Jones. He graduated from Clifton -Fine in 1972 and entered the work force at J & L Steel.

In 1980 Tim journeyed to Colorado with his spouse, Connie Jones, to attend the Colorado School of Trades for gunsmithing. He graduated and returned home, dividing his time between family, gunsmithing, and working at St. Joe's. He worked at St. Joe's for 13 years, advocating for worker's rights and participating in multiple strikes until he moved to construction with Laborer's Local Union 322. During his time in construction, he drilled miles of pipeline and placed thousands of yards of concrete. He worked on many local buildings, including Clarkson's Cheel Arena and Shania Twain and Mutt Lange's house in St. Regis Falls.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Jones; his son, Kirk Jones, spouse Amanda Jones and grandchildren Willow Jones and Violet Jones; his daughter, Stacy Jones, and grandchildren Maddison Goldie and Landon Goldie; sisters Sue Jones (Rick Gearsbeck), Sheri Sharpe (Brian Sharpe), Sheila Bullock (Bill Bullock), and Karla Smith (Bill Smith).

He is predeceased by his parents, Kermit and Dorothy Jones.
