Timothy Kent Obituary
January 9, 1953 - July 21, 2025
Clovis, California - Tim Kent was born in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of Richard and Laura Kent. He was raised in Sunnyvale, California and graduated from Fresno State University. He enjoyed a long career as a teacher and coach in the Clovis Unified School District, primarily at Dry Creek Elementary and Clark Intermediate schools.
Tim's other passion was photography, especially sports. He took photos of Clovis High School sporting events for many years. In the early 1980s he took photos at field level of a 49ers game until it was discovered he had no press pass! He was always happy to share his work and gave his photos to many people.
Tim loved classic rock music and discussing it with his brother. He was a fan of San Francisco sports teams, notably the Giants and 49ers. He was known for his generosity, giving to people in need. He was intelligent, witty, and had a lively sense of humor.
Tim is survived and remembered fondly by his brother, Thomas Kent (Carol), of Rio Linda, nieces Leslie Kent and Erin Creely (Brian), one uncle and many cousins in the Midwest; as well as by many former CUSD colleagues. No services are planned.

Really sorry to hear this news. Tim typified what made Clovis Unified Schools special, always going above and beyond for his students and colleagues. RIP, amigo.

Tim was an outstanding teacher who made a difference with so many CUSD kids, including my two sons. He taught and coached Danny at Dry Creek and worked summer programs with Gary II and Danny when they were in high school and college. He will be remembered fondly, RIP my friend.

Our condolences to your family. Tim was a great colleague at Clark. He was so generous with his time and photos. He was always looking for ways to bless you. He made a nice photo book of flowers to remember my Holly who past away in 2015. Prayed with at times as well in our morning Bible Study at school.
