Timothy "Tim" Lee Kibler, age 49, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 19, 2025, at Highland District Hospital.
He was born the son of Paul Edward Kibler Sr. and Catherine (Gabrick) Hone on Oct. 2, 1976, in Hillsboro.
Tim was a hardworking and loving man who brought joy to everyone around him. He was a handsome man with a genuinely beautiful smile and striking blue eyes that could light up any room.
Tim was known for his incredible work ethic and craftsmanship as a mason, where he took great pride in laying blocks and building things that would last for generations.
Beyond his work, he was a devoted papaw whose happiest moments were spent with his grandkids, especially camping with them. You could often see Tim on the sidelines of his grandchildren's sporting events just beaming with pride. He had a way of connecting with kids — they were drawn to his easygoing nature, kindness, and sense of fun. Tim's heart was big, his laughter contagious, and his presence brought comfort and warmth wherever he went.
He loved his dogs as if they were his own children and had a special place in his heart for each of his dogs, Tootsie, Lana, and Xavier. Tim loved to take the dogs to go swimming at the quarry.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his children, Hannah (Kordell) Ford, Logan Kibler, and Steven (Chloe Masslow) Kibler, all of Hillsboro; his grandchildren, Caysen, Cannan, Callie, Dominic, and Deakon; his mother, Cathy Hone; siblings, Paul (Cindy) Kibler, Mary Elliott, Joan Lunsford, Elizabeth Kibler, and Debbie (Tom) Seeling; significant other, Heather Snider; and lots of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Gregory "Greg" Kibler; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Cecilia Gabrick; and paternal grandparents, Mary and Roy Shields.
Services for Tim will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made to Turner & Son Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
