Timothy Wash Lamy, 59, passed away on Wednesday Dec 21, 2016 after a prolonged illness. Born on Sept. 7, 1957 to Richard J and Elizabeth A. Lamy, Tim (known by his close friends as 'Lam') was a 1975 graduate of Manchester Memorial High School where he played football for the late iconic coaches Bob Chabot and Hubie McDonough Jr. As a junior in 1974, Tim was part of the state championship football team. After graduating, Tim found his calling in law enforcement. He became certified as a part-time officer, then later a full-time NH Police Officer where served the town of New Boston NH as a Patrolman, Senior Patrolman and field training officer, Sergeant and firearms instructor, and Lieutenant / police prosecutor. One of Tim's proudest professional accomplishments was seeing the New Boston Police Department receive NH State Accreditation under CALEA National Standards in 1998. New Boston Police was recognized as the first small agency in New Hampshire to attain such status at that time. After law enforcement, Tim went on to work for Comcast where he was known to say "It's fun now. People enjoy seeing me show up". Tim's main interests were his family, power lifting, riding motorcycles and football. He is predeceased by his father Richard and his sister Kathleen Lamy. He leaves behind his mother Elizabeth, his daughter Crimson, his brother Tom, his sister Karen Brooks, his grandson Tyde (who was named for his poppop), many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Tim, What cannot I not say. It was always so much fun seeing him an Provost at the gym, or out on the town. Jim Ganley often writes about their exploits at the gym, out on the town be it Manchester or the Beach. He was part of the Goon Squad. I mean that in an affectionate way. Those that also were know what I mean. Their was Bob Todt, Frank Gingras, Big John, Provost, Bucky, Rock and the list goes on. They would wind Bucky up on the town, and let him loose. :>). If you ever get a chance read Jims logs. You will bust a gut. He use to call me Ninj, my brother was little Ninj. He was always so nice to both of us and never thought he was better than anyone else. I once was talking to him at Hannaford. He was a Monster in size. I said hello, and he just grinned at me and said, "...HOW YA DOIN NINJ..." All the great ones are leaving us now, I am sure that they have a gym set up where they are and they are all together, grunting and pushing heavy weight..... God bless you Tim, I will always keep you in memory and when I see any of the Goon Squad that are remaining, I will let them know that you are watching over us..... Always your friend, Ninja.

I uploaded a great picture of Tim, Crimson, Tide, and your fabulous Aunt Connie. It is on the Community tab of photos - why I don't know since it is all family - and it was a day we met last June. You were in good fettle, Tim. But you wouldn't complain anyway. We had great childhood experiences, especially at Hampton and Rye Beaches. Patrick reminded us of Betty's pastichio - I still make it. Your dad's golumkies! And again as Patrick mentioned, we all shared in Patsy's great meals: crab salad, egg salad, tuna sandwiches - great beach food. And of course anything charcoal grilled!! Such good eating, so much beach time, so much fun! And thank you for your great smile and spirit. And REALLY thanks for letting Patrick win at badminton a few times! I already miss you, your dad, your Uncle Jerry, and your Aunt Connie - say hello and give them a hug for me. Mikey-dog

I will always remember my Cousin Tim rolling on the inside of one of my dad's huge tractor trailer inner tubes at low tide on Rye Beach, holding onto the valve and laughing up a storm. Great laughs with the McNamara and Lamy families on the beach and at our house were par for the course - my mother's baked stuffed shrimp and Betty's pastichio, kabobs on the hibachi, an old Coca-Cola machine in the garage filled with cold tonic, endless Badminton matches, bouncing around on inner tubes, and card games on the porch - childhood summer memories that couldn't be better. I know Tim loved it all. Love & condolences to Betty, Tommy, Karen, Crimson and Tyde, and thinking of my Godfather, Dick Lamy, and Kathy. Cousin Patrick

My prayers and thoughts go out to Tim's family. Tim and I were very close back in the early 80's when he took me under his wing and crafted me into my 1st Police Officer Job in New Boston. You're still here in my heart and mind,
still making me laugh cause your stories live on.
I hold you in a thought and I can feel you.
I feel you and this gives me strength and courage.
The tears I have cried for you could flood the earth
and I know you have wiped each one away.
For you Brother, I promise you this,
I will go on with my life and make you proud. I will always hold you in my heart.
I promise you I will be missing you everyday till the end of time,
but this is not my end and I can't hold my head underwater....I need to breathe.
I need to love and miss you, but I also need to live because through me you will live,
you will still laugh and love,
you will still sing and dance,
you will still hug and kiss.
You will forever be in our lives,
you will forever be a brother,
a son,
an uncle
and friend.
I am going to miss your shining face
I think of you and wonder why?
I might cry or smile,
but at the end of the day I am one day closer to you....

Tim and I were friends since we were in high school. We met at the Manchester YMCA back in the early to mid 1970's. We shared a passion for power in weight lifting and spent many of our early years either working out or going out. Tim was a bouncer at the Salty Dog tavern back then and no-one would ever get out of line with the Lam while he was on duty. He was the "Tim" in intimidating. We competed many, many times in powerlifting meets but in different weight classes. He was a very powerful man in all lifts but especially in the bench press. I am honored that he held me as one of his close friends. That was quite a statement coming from Tim. Tim, I miss you already not only for your infamous one liners but for all the times we spent together especially the ride to the beach in my 1972 Corvette. PS I hear the weights feel lighter in heaven! God Bless You. Rocco
