Timothy Lyons Obituary

Tim was born in New York City on February 10, 1940, and proudly served his country in both the Marine Corps and US Army. Following his service, he served New York City as a Transit motorman for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1990.
Tim retired from the bustle of New York to the quiet and peaceful serenity of his "birdhouse" in Fredon, New Jersey. His retirement consisted of numerous rounds of golf at the Farmstead CC in Newton, New Jersey where he was a daily fixture for many happy years.
Visiting Dad consisted of a round of golf followed by dinner at St. Moritz in Lake Mohawk.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Blair; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Cindy; daughter, Catherine; stepdaughter, Carla "Darlene" Grilli; and his beloved grandchildren, Christian, Leoni, Brian, and Christiana. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret; sister, Christine Frazell; and his parents, Maurice and Theresa Lyons.
A service will be held to honor Tim's life at St Ann's Catholic Church (26 Dogwood Trail, Debary, FL 32713), with entombment to follow at Deland Memorial Gardens, (600 E Beresford Ave, Deland, FL 32724).
