Timothy Edwin "Tim" Martin

Thomas – Gloria Thomas, age 88, of Callahan, Florida passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. She was born to the late William P. Thomas and Jewell Higginbotham Thomas in Jacksonville, Florida on April 10, 1937. A lifelong member of Callahan First Baptist Church, Gloria's love for her Lord and Savior was the cornerstone of her life. Her unwavering commitment to her faith was most evident in her years of service in the church nursery ministry. There, Gloria lovingly rocked countless little ones to sleep with patience and tenderness that left a lasting impression on generations of families. Gloria had a gentle spirit and a heart full of affection for the simple joys in life. She adored the color red, found delight in babies, and later developed a fondness for puppies. These small but meaningful passions reflected her warmth and capacity for love. Gloria's family was deeply blessed by her presence. She played an invaluable role as a devoted daughter and companion to her beloved mother. Gloria's care and companionship were gifts that brought comfort and strength to those closest to her. Through her example, Gloria helped instill in her family a profound appreciation for the dignity and worth of every human being, each created in God's image. Though she never sought recognition or accolades, Gloria's legacy is one of quiet grace and enduring love. Her family gives thanks to God for allowing Gloria to be born a Thomas. A name she carried with humility and honor and for the many lessons they learned through her life. Gloria will be truly missed by all who knew her. May her memory continue to bring comfort and inspiration to those whose lives she touched. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Leslie, Hardy, Irvin, Warren, and Sidney.

Gloria leaves behind her loving brother, Wayne (Danielle) Thomas; and several nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Gloria's Life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Dr. Lynn Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
