We just learned of Tim´s passing. Geoff and I are saddened. Tim was a lifelong learner and a sharer of his kindness, wit, knowledge and curiosity. We miss him and wish for comfort for you, Charlotte and the family.

May his memory be a blessing. Peace to his family, friends and those of us that never crossed paths with this wonderful soul.

Recently I finished Tim´s fascinating and interesting ink making workshop. Until I signed up for the course I had never heard of Tim or knew anything about him. Regrettably he passed before the course began. Through watching the course recordings it became clear to me that Tim had been a remarkably talented, creative and highly gifted and generous spirit. Countless times while watching the recordings I inexplicably found myself weeping for the loss of someone I never met or knew in any way. Selfishly I felt cheated for missing the opportunity to study directly with such a remarkable person but more importantly because of the acute and intense loss you all must be feeling. My heart breaks for Tim´s family and his loved ones. I hope that in time you will find solace in all that Tim created and left behind. May Tim´s life work bring you joy, peace and contentment. Thank you for continuing to run his courses so that people like me can benefit from afar. Peace and Love!

My condolences to the whole family. I actually, only this week, completely independent of this email, met him through my first listening to the Poetics of Textiles. I had not known Maiwa had a podcast series and was delighted to discover this (while I was perusing the site for travel info). As I sat down to stitch and listen, it certainly became clear from this "episode" that here is a mindful, studied observer, and someone to sit up straighter in your chair and listen to, and be delighted by. After hearing that podcast I looked forward to meeting this fellow again through lecture. Clearly your loss is huge. It's only a few months forward, and I'm sure you all are still feeling the effects of his loss daily. Again, so sorry for this sudden shift of temperature, this big loss in your family.
