Timothy Gridley "Tim" Meddaugh

Timothy Gridley Meddaugh, beloved brother and friend passed into his next life on February 6, 2024. He was born April 26, 1945 to Frank Preston Meddaugh and Esther M. Gridley Lyon. Along with his parent, Tim was predeceased by his step father, LeRoy Lyon; three sisters, Bonnie (Les) Wintermute, Nancy Campbell, Mary Pond; brother, Russell Meddaugh. Tim will be missed by his surviving siblings, Patricia Kleiman, Frank (Vicki) Lyon and Deborah (Ken) Frisbie; in addition to many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. Tim graduated from Candor High School in 1963 and served in the U.S. Army and Reserves. Tim's lifelong career as a design engineer was with Borg Warner/Emerson. He was an officer of SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) and a member of SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) for over 55 years. Tim was a longtime patron of Seneca Lodge in Watkins Glen, enjoying many dear and valued friends. His passion was formula one road course racing at Watkins Glen Racetrack and many other tracks, participating as a flagger and chief steward for most of his adult life. Tim enjoyed donating to many humanitarian organizations and was a true patriot of this great nation, with unwavering conservative values, which he shared with gusto! Timothy Gridley Meddaugh will be remembered with respect, love and extraordinary faith in God. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor, NY with the Rev.
