Timothy Switzer Neely (Mr. Tim), 72, of Spartanburg, passed away on February 26, 2026. He was the son of the late Thomas Lawton Neely and Carolyn Switzer Neely.

Timothy retired from Satur Automotive as a skilled and dedicated mechanic. He also proudly served as a bus driver for District 6 for 23 years, safely transporting and caring for countless students throughout his career. In addition, he was the owner and operator of Southport Auto Service, where he was known for his hard work, honesty, and commitment to his customers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Neely; his daughter, Tanya Johnson of Roebuck; Keith McKinney of Arkwright; Sonya Kirby of Spartanburg; and Jason Neely of Inman. He also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Jordan Hall, Catlynn Ledford, Cody Kirby, Logan Johnson, Lawton Neely, Olan Neely, and Ladson Neely; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Contina Neely; his grandson, Dallas McKinney; his brother, Harry Neely; and his sister, Carole Cantrell.

Timothy was a devoted Christian whose faith guided his life. He was an avid lover of traditional country music and a devoted fan of the Clemson Tigers football. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his steadfast faith, his love for his family, and the many lives he touched throughout his 72 years.
