Timothy Ravotti Obituary

Timothy Alan Ravotti, 72, of Pittsburgh, formerly of New Kensington, passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Aug. 1, 1953, in Freeport, a son of the late Barbara J. (Anselmo) and Mario "Bugsy" Ravotti Jr. Tim graduated from Freeport High School, Class of 1971, and went on to Edinboro University from 1971 to 1975, receiving his bachelor's degree in psychology, and received his MBA from Robert Morris University in 1981. He worked for Westinghouse for 37 years, where he was a guru SAP consultant. Tim was of Catholic faith. He was the heart of his family steady, selfless, the original magic maker, and so full of unconditional love and support. He coached all his daughters in the Little League Association in New Kensington and attended all their tennis games, never missing a match. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, craft beers, listening to music, and trips to Disney as the #1 Disney Dad, but above all, his favorite place to be was with his family. Tim was an avid Penn State football fan and worked hard to proudly put his three daughters through their years at Happy Valley, making as many visits as possible to cheer on the Nittany Lions and spend time with his girls. It was the joy of his life being Grandpa ("Flaka") to his four grandchildren, and he loved sneaking them snacks and surprising them with all of their favorite things. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years and best friend, Janice (Ray) Ravotti, whom he married May 2, 1981; and together they raised three daughters who adored him, Jessica and Jorge Rojas, Kristen and Kurt Knott, and Corie Ravotti; his grandchildren, Elena and Leo Rojas and Kade and Chloe Knott; his brother, Thomas Ravotti; nieces, Holli and Kylie Ravotti; and many good friends and coworkers. We will honor him by living like him his constant love, strength, kindness, humor, hard work, and joy in the everyday. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather and taught us to never miss an opportunity to say, "I love you." A blessing service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, with a visitation following from 5 to 7 p.m. at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Western Pennsylvania (PFWPA), 850 Cranberry Woods Drive, Suite 2222, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. So sorry to hear of this sad news of a cousin. Tim's Mom was my first cousin, but we had now seen each other in a long time. Condolences to the Family

Mario was a great guy & welcomed me with open arms when I moved & attended Freeport HS for my senior year. My best to Janice, whom I went to school from 1st grade to 11th, and their family. Tim & Janice were meant for each other as they were both very gracious, welcoming, fun friends.
