Timothy Steven Sharp, age 64 of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away on March 4, 2025. He was born July 23, 1960, to Ottes and Irene Sharp in Virginia, MN.
A few years after Tim was born, the family moved to St. Anthony Village, and then later to Audubon, MN, where Tim graduated High School and met his first wife Mary. Together they had one child, Timm, whom he was very proud of. In October 1982, Tim started at Nereson Automotive in the parts warranty department. He continued to serve as a dedicated and loyal employee for over 40 years, working his way up to the position as Business Manager/Custom Financing. On August 18, 2006, Tim married his loving wife Tammie, and they continued to reside in Detroit Lakes. Tim was looking forward to retiring at the end of this year.
Tim loved living at the lake and witnessed many beautiful sunrises. Throughout the summer, he looked forward to having family and friends over to gather around the fire pit and share stories. It became tradition to take the pontoon out to watch 4th of July fireworks.
He had a passion for music and played bass guitar for bands in his younger years. He enjoyed Nascar racing, Harleys, and watching the Vikings (who he never gave up on). Spending time with the grandkids was very special to him.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Ottes and Irene; three brothers, Karl, Pete, and Wayne; sister-in-law Mary Lou; nephew Craig; and stepfather John.
He is survived by his wife Tammie; son Timm; brother Curt (Mary Ann); nieces Julie, Donna (Kjel), and Stephanie; nephews Greg (Patti), Cary (Shelly), Cole, Ross, and Chris (Patti); stepson Josh; stepdaughter Jessica (Eric); grandchildren Emma, Hannah, and Mason; and sister-in-law Sharon. He also leaves behind many family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
