Timothy "Tim" Sheaff

Fond very fond memories of working with Tim when I was the speech and debate coach at North high school. He was a remarkable man and I know he will be missed. God bless you Tim and God bless your family and friends who will sorely miss you.
Rest, eternal grant to him, O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul in the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace.

Like countless other people, I was lucky enough to be a student of Mr. Sheaff. He was a father figure to me when I was at Dowling, pushed me to discover and develop my talents, and shaped my life in doing so. I was lucky enough to say thank you to him in person last fall, but I´m guessing there´s many people who would have liked to say something similar and thought there´d be more time to do so. I certainly did.

So on behalf of all the outcasts you gave a place to fit in, on behalf of all the freaks & geeks who found confidence and heart on your watch, and on behalf of the broken & grieving kids whom you helped find a way in life - thank you so much, Mr. Sheaff. We´d like to have said it in person, but our faith means we know you can hear us now.

As you now have one of the loudest voices in all of Heaven, please intercede to God on our behalf Mr. Sheaff. We are now duty bound to carry on your legacy, as none of us will ever be able to get your voice out of our heads - or your lessons out of our hearts.

Our prayers and condolences to the family. Tim was an educator who helped shape the lives of America's brightest young people -- not only at Dowling, but also the tens of thousands of students that attended the national tournament during his tenure as "the voice" of the National Speech and Debate Association. To his colleagues, Tim was a shining example of integrity alongside great competence as a teacher and coach. He will be greatly missed!

Tim modeled professionalism and compassion as he led his students in debate and drama activities. He was equal parts orator and organizer and will be missed by the competitive speech communities he served so faithfully.

Christy and family, know that our thoughts and prayers are being sent up for you all at this time. Tim´s presence was always evident in all he did, and he helped others achieve excellence as people and as public speakers. His presence as a man of faith and family will be sorely missed at Dowling Catholic and with the greater S&D community. He will be missed.

Tim was an outstanding speech coach. My Kuemper speech teams always enjoyed competing with his Dowling teams.

With deep sympathy I offer my prayers and my love to the Sheaff Family. I feel so blessed to have known and worked with Tim. He will always be a part of our Dowling Family.
A life well lived Tim, rest now in eternal heavenly peace.
