Timothy J. Spitzley, age 55, was born October 22, 1969, and passed away January 19, 2025. A lifelong resident of Lansing, MI, Tim attended JW Sexton High School, LCC and Michigan Tech. Tim was a loyal man who had worked at Meijer Distribution center for over 25 years. He would be remembered fondly for his love of playing cards, mostly cutthroat and euchre, which he played at the VFW Halls. Whenever he was around, his music trailed behind him as he enjoyed the simpler things in life. His wide selection made it easy for anyone to find something they liked among heavy metal, rock, rap and country. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother.
He is survived by his two daughters, Amy and Amber Spitzley of Lansing; parents, Kenneth and Evelyn Spitzley; brothers, Kenneth III (Beth) Spitzley of Chester, VA, Christopher Spitzley of Lansing, Eric (Christina) Spitzley of Loveland, OH and Thomas Spitzley of Lansing; sister, Amanda (Jim) McLeod of Bad Axe. grandmother Therese VanWormer. several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Darlene (Foster) Spitzley; daughter, Angelea Spitzley; brother, James Spitzley; sister, Laura Spitzley; grandfather, Kenneth Spitzley Sr.; step grandfather, William VanWormer and grandparents, Warren and Virginia Humble.
A Funeral Services will be held, Friday, January 24, 2025, 11:00 AM at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Delta Chapel at 6301 W. St. Joe Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917, with Chaplain Steve Ezop officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home, Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
