Timothy Lee "Tim" Steelman

Mr. Timothy Lee "Tim" Steelman, age 76, of Bennington, Indiana, entered this life in Batesville, Indiana. He was the son of the late Marvin Lee and Helen J. (Miller) Steelman. He was raised in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and was a 1967 graduate of the Lawrenceburg High School. Tim was a former insulator and asbestos worker for Local Union No.8, retiring in 2004 after 37 years of service. Tim moved to the Switzerland County community in 1979 and found joy in fishing, gardening, building models, and hunting, especially hunting turtles. He was a member of the Sons of the Vevay American Legion Post #185. Tim passed away on November 19, 2025, at his daughter's residence in Independence, Kentucky.
Tim is survived by his daughters, Kendra Conrad and her husband, Brad of Columbus, OH, Samantha Steelman of Florence, KY, and Tandy Steelman-Manning and her husband, Jim of Independence, KY; his son, Timothy Steelman II of Bennington, IN; his grandchildren, Scotty, John, Kev, April, Cason, Kollier, Harlind, Brittany, Amber and Maxx; his great-grandchildren, Braylen, Jahbrael, Jubari, Jason Timothy, Oaklyn, and Mia; his brothers, Edwin "Ed" Steelman and Thomas "Tom" Steelman and his wife, Kissy; and his nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen J. (Miller) Steelman; his father, Marvin Lee Steelman; his brother, William J. "Bill" Steelman; and his maternal-aunt, Martina Diplotti.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
