Timothy Edward (Tim) Stremcha of Eau Claire, WI, beloved husband, father, brother, and son, passed away at the age of 55 on Oct. 12, 2022.
Tim was born and raised in Dakota, MN. He began his professional career with Cray Research designing supercomputers. He continued in the same line of work throughout his career in the Chippewa Valley, most recently at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He was an avid gardener. He was affectionately known as the "tree guy," having planted over 6,000 trees in his lifetime. He was a tinkerer by nature, often spending weekends sharpening knives, rebuilding clocks, and fixing various household appliances.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucien (Jim) and Margaret (Flottmeyer) Stremcha and his older brother, Rick Stremcha.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Anne (Hutton) Stremcha, his three children, Katie, John, and Nathan, his brothers, Terry (Jeanne) Stremcha, Dan (Linda) Stremcha, Jeff (Leanne) Stremcha, Gary (Kattie Pullen-Barrett) Stremcha, Brian (Cari) Stremcha, Dave (Mary Jo) Stremcha, Mike Stremcha, and Joe Stremcha, and his sisters,Sue (Bill) Inlow, Karen Gomez, Lisa (Dave) Lux, and Diane (Ed) Urbick.
A service is planned at Chippewa Valley Cremation Services - Celebration of Life Center in Altoona, WI, on Fri. Nov. 4 from 3:30-6:30pm.
His unique sense of humor and personality will be greatly missed by family and friends.In remembrance of Tim Stremcha's life, the family asks that charitable donations be made to one of Tim's favorite charities: Wisconsin Public Radio, Seed Savers Exchange, Union of Concerned Scientists, or Bat Conservation International.
