Timothy "Tim" Christopher Kyburz, was born September 19, 1961, in Rockford, IL. The third child of Urban L. and Pauline M. Kyburz.
Upon meeting Tim in grade school, Father Charles McCarren, Pastor of St. James, Belvidere and family friend, stated "That is a very BIG name for such a little boy." That little boy grew into a man with a BIG heart filled with enormous love for God and family, especially his children.
His list of hobbies and interests was huge; Indy Racing – attended 45 consecutive Indy 500 races; Music – a talented drummer with a preference for classic rock; Model Trains; Ham Radio – call sign K9PJJ; Cross-Country Running- Varsity letterman in High School; Collecting – coins, antiques, Native American artifacts; Outdoor Adventures – hiking, kayaking, camping, national parks; and Sports – He loved The Chicago Cubs and hockey, just to name a few.
He had a robust commitment to family history, memorializing loved ones by maintaining traditions, sharing stories of the past and preserving photographs and records.
He had an infectious, genuine and often mischievous smile.
He possessed an inordinate strength and resilience that carried him through life's many challenges, especially during the last 8 years with a debilitating condition known as Gould's syndrome.
The void his absence leaves in our lives is gigantic. His BIG name will always be remembered.
Timothy was baptized at St. James, Rockford, IL. He received First Holy Communion at Holy Family, Rockford, IL and Confirmation at St. James, Belvidere, IL. He was married to Faithe at St. Boniface, Lafayette, IN. He is a registered parishioner of St. James the Less, Savannah, GA.
He graduated from Boylan Catholic High School in 1979 then St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1984. Fulfilling his lifelong dream of helping people, he worked most of his career as a retail pharmacist before obtaining his Nuclear Certification from Purdue University.
Timothy passed away peacefully in his Savannah, GA home surrounded by his family on October 18, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife, Faithe A. Kyburz; his three sons Christopher W. Kyburz (Megan), Andrew L. Kyburz and Urban V.
