Timothy White Obituary

"Keeping time with God will keep you in the right direction." - Timothy Turner White
Heaven welcomed another saint on April 27, 2023 when Timothy Turner White, age 65, of Elizabeth City, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a long battle with epilepsy.
Tim was a godly man with unwavering faith in Jesus and his faith only grew stronger in his final years of life. He attended Elizabeth City Baptist Church where he was helping spread the goodness of God with Pastor Jon. Tim spent his life living out the scripture "You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever." (Psalm 16:11) He took every opportunity to speak JOY into others, because he knew it was his duty as a disciple of the Lord. He viewed it as Jesus, Others and You, in that order.
Tim, also known as "Timmy," was a devoted and loving father, brother, friend and family man. He owned his own home improvement business for over 30 years, where he enjoyed his craft for painting, roofing, carpentry and so much more. He knew each job had a beginning and an end, just like God spoke "I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." (Revelation 22:13) He was honored and blessed with each project God gave him, because he knew he could plant seeds in others. Tim's greatest job, however, was becoming a father for the first time to his daughter, Jennifer, it was the moment God changed him forever. He knew that he would go above and beyond to do anything for his first love, but above all instill the love of Jesus in her. Over the years he continued to pray over her and taught her how to talk to Jesus and throughout their relationship no matter what time it was, when she needed him, he was eager to pray over her. Tim's love for music was undeniable, he loved being a part of the worship team at New Life Assembly of God. He specifically enjoyed the christian band delirious? where he would sing his heart out with his girls in the car. One song that he held near and dear to his heart was the one he dedicated to his daughter Kayre called "Butterfly Kisses," and he took immense amounts of joy on the day he gave her away knowing the joy she brought to his life and how she promised him she would always be daddy's little girl. Tim also relished in hunting and fishing, playing racquetball at Riverwind with friends and playing and coaching softball; his true love for the game grew even more once he began coaching his youngest daughter Candace. They shared a deep bond from the first moment they played catch and he took great pride in being not just a coach to her on the field, but off the field as well. She was his lucky number eight and he not only gave her the gift, but he gave her the nickname "flash," for how fast she rounded the bases. He found the most joy in spending time with his daughters and grandchildren and some of his fondest memories were their trips to the beach and water country, along with holding each of his grandchildren for the first time. He valued his family and friends more than anything else and he will be greatly missed for the memories and impact he made on so many.
Tim joins his mother and father, Ruby and Steward White, in Heaven. Also preceding him in death are his grandparents, uncles and aunts. He is survived by his two brothers: Ray Brannon and wife Olivia, and Frank Brannon and wife Beth, his three loving daughters, Jennifer White and Fiancé Derek Meads, Kayre Meher and husband Marc, and Candace White. He was the proud "Granddaddy" to his six grandchildren, Brittany Bundy, Brianna Bundy, Paul Jr. Bundy, Whit Meher, Easton Meher and Skyla Meher. He also was the uncle to Justin Young, Meredith Lippert, Meghan Wright and Tessa Saylor.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 am, on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Fountain of Life Church, officiated by Pastor Jon. His girls are requesting all who attend to wear his favorite colors purple and gold for his love of the East Carolina Pirates or blue and white for his love of the Indianapolis Colts. Immediately following, a private riverside service will be held at the home of his dear friend, Sheila Crittenden, in Weeksville, NC, where the immediate family will fish in his honor. The family will receive visitors at the home of his middle daughter, Kayre, at 111 Jennifer Dr. Elizabeth City, NC. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Timothy White Memorial Fund at the International Pentecostal Holiness Church Headquarters, P.O. Box 12609, Oklahoma City, OK 73157.
