Timothy Lee "Tim" Wildasin, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, after fighting a brief, but courageous battle with lymphoma. Born November 29, 1948, in York, Pennsylvania, he was the youngest son of the late Samuel L. and Mary A. Mosebrook Wildasin. Tim grew up in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania and was a 1966 graduate of Dallastown Area High School.
At age 21, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he bravely served in Vietnam, April 8, 1970, through December 14, 1971. After some time away from the military, Tim realized his devotion to serving his country and re-enlisted in the Army Reserves, November 20, 1980, which eventually brought him and his family to West Virginia. He served overseas again in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm in 1990-1991. Tim proudly finished his 23-year military career in the Active Guard Reserves and retired January 31, 2002. Tim earned numerous military awards and honors including, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Star, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and Marksman Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar.
Surviving Tim are his children, Eric Wildasin and wife, Dawn, Julie Wildasin Corwin, and Amy Wildasin Carter and husband, Mark.
In addition, he leaves behind his partner, Nancy Metz, who brought him companionship in his later years. Tim is also survived by his former spouse and friend, Mary Ellen Topper Wildasin.
Tim was a proud grandfather to Zachary, Kyle, and Braden Wildasin and Amelia, Madelynn, and Gillian Corwin. He is also survived by his brothers, Samuel E. Wildasin and wife, Cindy, Dennis L. Wildasin and wife, Kay, and four nephews.
As an avid animal lover, Tim saved and adopted many stray or lost animals throughout the years. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, "Pickies", his faithful friend.
Tim remained deeply connected to the veteran community through his involvement in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, especially with VFW Post 1589 in Masontown, West Virginia. He valued the camaraderie, advocacy, and support the organization provided. He dedicated much of his time to ensuring that fellow veterans were honored and remembered.
Beyond his service, Tim was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones. He loved classic cars, anything Ford and John Deere, and collecting coins. He shared stories of his time in the military, instilled values of honor and perseverance, and offered guidance shaped by years of his experience. Tim was known to be a character, have strong opinions, and be quick with a joke or comment. His legacy is one of strength, loyalty, warmth, and love. His memory will continue to live in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 10:00 am until the 12:00 pm time of service with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton, WV. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County Honor Guard VFW Post 1589 of Masontown and the WVANG Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, in remembrance of his lifelong commitment to serve, please honor Tim by choosing a veteran's group in your community to support or the Lymphoma Research Foundation.

So Sorry to hear of Tim's passing, I knew he was sick but didn't realize he was this bad, I would talk to Nancy every once in a while at the stores. Tim and I was in the Army together, he was my Maintenance Sergeant. We had a lot of good times together. He sure loved to play darts!!!! It's hard to believe he and Capozzoli are both gone. Hard to believe!!!
