Mr. Timothy Allen Worthy, 70, formerly of Phenix City, AL, resided at William F. Green State Veterans Home in Bay Minette, AL passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at the North Baldwin Infirmary Hospital in Bay Minette, AL.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Boyd Cochran officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at 12:30 p.m. for a funeral procession from Vance-Brooks Funeral Home to Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Mr. Worthy was born March 23, 1956, in AL, son of Zema Floyd Worthy, Jr. and Frances LaDell East Worthy. He proudly served his country as Navigator in the United States Navy aboard the USS Austin LPD-4, the lead ship of her class of amphibious transport dock ships. After his service in the Navy, Mr. Worthy worked for many years as an electrician with the IBEW 779 out of Atlanta, GA, working nationally. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL, where he earned the designation of Eagle Scout as a teenager in Scout Troop 149. Mr. Worthy was also a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He had a passion for everything Auburn and his black lab Lucky. Above all, loved spending time with his family and friends.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James “Jimmy” Robert Worthy and a nephew, Glenn Dennis “Denny” Lee.

He is survived by six brothers and sisters, Thomas Floyd Worthy and wife Donna, Vicki Worthy Blake, Patricia “Patsy” Ann Worthy Baker and husband Kenny, Carol Joy Worthy, Kimberly Worthy Chancellor-Call, William Daniel “Danny” Worthy and wife Lisa; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several extended family and friends.
