Timothy Young Obituary
ROCKINGHAM — Timothy Dane Young, 70, of Rockingham, NC, passed away peacefully February 15, 2026 at Hospice Haven House in Rockingham. Tim was born December 10, 1955, in Clearfield Penn., to the late Kenneth M. Young and Donna Jean Luck.
He attended Duval High School in Seabrook, Maryland and the University of Maryland. Tim was a proud veteran who served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a Broadcast Engineer with a Christian Radio Network and built stations all over the USA. Tim enjoyed both installing and operating sound systems in churches. He was an amateur chef who loved cooking for family and friends. Tim was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
He was married to his beloved wife of 48 years, Jackie Elaine Young. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister, Darlene Myers, of Prince Frederick Md., stepmother, Thelma Young, of Rogersville, Tenn., and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Hatcher Rd., Rockingham, NC. Officiating are Pastor Travis Wilkerson and Rev David Lee. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 276 Hatcher Rd., Rockingham, NC, 28379.
