Tin Duc Nguyen

Tin Duc Nguyen passed away in Fairfax, Virginia on December 7, 2025 at home with his wife at his side. He was 83 years old. Tin was born in Vietnam and came to the United States with his family in the Summer of 1975.

Tin formerly worked for Pennsylvania Public School System in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for over 30 years until his retirement. While raising his family in Harrisburg, Tin enjoyed spending time in his gardens where he was known for his vegetables and beautiful array of flowers.

Tin was the beloved husband to Toan Thi Tran whom he was married for 60 years. Along with his wife, Tin is survived by his children Joseph Nguyen (Maria), Linh Nguyen (Tri) and Mary Farrand (Michael). He is also survived by his grandchildren Nicholas, Ryan, Tristan, Andrew, Isabelle, Ava and Paige.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Tin on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4 to 8 PM at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Virginia 55165. Funeral service will be held on Friday December 19th at 10 AM at Holy Martyrs of Vietnam Catholic Church located at 915 S. Wakefield Street Arlington. Interment will be held at Fairfax Memorial Cemetery.
