55, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Tina touched the lives of those around her with her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Despite facing the challenges of her illness, she remained a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who knew her.

Tina dedicated her life to helping others, both personally and professionally. She worked as an occupational therapist at various facilities throughout Rhode Island and ended her career at St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich. Thanks to her keen ability to solve problems, Tina was affectionately called “MacGyver” by her coworkers.

At home, Tina’s grandson Benjamin renamed her Doe Doe. The two bonded in the kitchen, where Tina let him in on all of her secret recipes. Tina spread her love through food and unleashed her passion in competition. Tina was known for her competitive spirit and had an uncanny ability to win every game she played.

Tina was the beloved wife of Gary W. Horbert and the daughter of Katherine (Roarty) Senecal. Tina is also survived by her loving children, Caitlyn Smith and Gary Horbert; cherished grandson Benjamin Horbert and her brother Douglas Senecal. Tina was preceded in death by her dear sister Helen Taylor.

VISITING HOURS will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm.
