Tina Marie Rogers

Tina Marie Rogers, 60, entered eternal life on July 4, 2022 after a long battle with complications from a double stroke. She was the daughter of Ida Saburro and Walter Edwards and step father Freddie Saburro. Tina graduated from Schalmont High School and was employed by the NYS Office of Parole until her stroke. She resided in Schenectady for the majority of her life and had many interests and hobbies throughout this time including all genres of music, singing, gardening, crochet, inspirational writings and kitschy baubles. She was especially fond of animals, angels, jewelry, make-up, children and her adored nieces and nephews. Tina was a Christian; ever in search of a spiritual connection. She was an advocate for the underdog and would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. In fact, frequently so giving and forgiving that one close to her remarked, "Tina, you aways lift the lid off a garbage can expecting to find a rose". Tina was the 8th of ten children in a blended family. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Anthony and David, and sister-in-law Connie Saburro. She is survived by her siblings Cindy Rozell (Ed), Mark Edwards, Kim Pallone (John), Karen Edwards-D'Alessandro (Christian), Fred Saburro (Hyacinth), John Saburro and Bill Saburro (Debbie); beloved Aunts Mary, Barbara, Jan; and dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was comforted by several loyal friends, especially Ron, Donna and Michelle as well as numerous kind care professionals. A memorial service celebrating Tina's life will be held at the Central Park Rose Garden on August 6, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
