It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tiny Nicholson Bingham, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend, who left us peacefully on February 1, 2026, at the age of 87. Tiny was born on March 23, 1938, in Gaston County, NC and lived a life rich with love, adventure, and the joy of family.
A devoted mother to her four sons, Tiny radiated warmth and kindness. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Whether gathered around the dinner table or embracing the great outdoors, Tiny's laughter and spirit were a constant source of comfort and joy to those who loved her.
Tiny had an adventurous heart and an insatiable curiosity for the world around her. She delighted in traveling and exploring nature, finding beauty in every corner of the Earth. Her love for adventure was matched only by her dedication to her faith, as a follower of her Lord and Savior she attended Sunset Forest Baptist Church in Gastonia, where she found strength and community.
Tiny's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Jeff Hicks. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday, February 9, 2026, at the funeral home. The burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
Tiny is survived by her sons, Roger Bingham (Victoria), Raymond Bingham, Dan Bingham (Roxie), Craig Bingham (Lou); brothers, Winford Nicholson (Libby), Jim Nicholson (Jane); sister-in-law, Janice Nicholson; grandchildren, Daniel Wooten, Joe Bingham, Erin Torres, Stacey, Amanda , Melissa and Thomas Bingham; great-grandchildren, Casey and Alissa Kapp.
Tiny was preceded in death by her parents Harley Franklin Nicholson and Lilly Mae Lovingood Nicholson; husband, Oliver Thomas Bingham; son, Scott Bingham; daughter, Judy Anderson; brothers, Lonnie and Bud Nicholson.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Tiny not only for her gentle spirit but for the innumerable ways she touched our lives. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
