Wenig Funeral Home - Sheboygan FallsTod G. Christenson, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Froedtert Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 71 years old.
Tod was born September 21, 1954 in Sheboygan, the son of Grant and Ross (Gillen) Christenson. He grew up in Sheboygan Falls with his three brothers, and was a proud 1974 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. There, he stood out as a natural athlete in baseball and basketball, holding state titles and records. Starting in high school, Tod began a 27-year career at Bemis Manufacturing.
On September 21, 1984 Tod was united in marriage with Lisa Deckliver at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade.
An avid sports enthusiast his entire life, Tod loved playing, coaching (even from the sidelines), participating, umping, watching and sharing his favorite sports stories. He was a 50+ year participant in the Sheboygan County Pool League, and had memorable stories from attending the Indy 500 and going to see the Green Bay Packers in the 1996 Super Bowl. His 1976 Firebird was his pride and joy since the day he got it. He enjoyed golfing, deer and pheasant hunting, and loving on all the animals.
One of a kind, Tod was always ready with a story, one-liner or joke. He was a character, and kids were drawn to him and his playful personality. He was to the point, motivated, curious and moved forward with an inner strength and determination that couldn’t be matched. He cherished and loved his family, and was immensely proud of all of them. He valued everyone he came across, and will be remembered by everyone he met.
Tod is survived by his wife Lisa, their sons: Eric (Vicki) of Plymouth, Travis (Katie) of Grafton and Devin (Paige) of Sheboygan; grandchildren: Riley, Cooper and Colton Christenson and Baby Christenson due in June; step-grandsons Dakota and Austin. He further survived by his brothers Mark (Candy) Christenson and Gig Christenson; sisters-in-law Lori Jens and Linda (Rich) Schroeder; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tod is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Willard and Romell Deckliver, brother Bruce (Karen) Christenson and brother-in-law John Jens.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:30PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls with Pastor Kyle Backhaus officiating. All are welcome to view a livestream of the service on Tod’s obituary page at wenigfh.com . The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday at the church from 12:30-3:30PM.
