Tod James Howard

Tod James Howard, age 55, of Holland, entered his eternal home on March 18, 2026 following his courageous battle with cancer. Tod was preceded in death by his parents, Verne and Carolyn Howard of Gold Canyon, AZ. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Heidi, his son, Jesse and daughter-in-law Mandy.

Tod and Heidi met in March of 2009 and fell in love quickly, marrying only 5 months later. Tod was proud to be Heidi's husband and worked very hard to prove his love each and every day. They were, without a doubt, best friends. Tod was also extremely proud of his son Jesse. The two shared a unique sense of humor, which strengthened their bond and was apparent to those who saw the two interact.

To say Tod was obsessed with the Detroit Lions is an understatement. While he never got his Lions superbowl, he was excited about the last few seasons and never gave up hope. He was also a lifelong fan of U of M football.

Tod's next greatest passion was fishing for crappie on their pontoon boat. Many a Saturday morning were spent on inland lakes catching "slabs" with Heidi and their good friend Rob. Tod enjoyed a cold beer on all those occasions and did not apologize for who he was. He was a hard-working man who cherished his wife and son and found happiness in the simple joys of life. He will be sorely missed.
