Todd Jason Carder, 37, died at 3:29 a.m. July 30, 2010, at St. Rita�s Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1973, in Lima to Jim and Lois Shumaker Carder, who survive in Lima. On June 21, 2003, he married Jodi Leigh Miller in Waynesfield. She survives in Wapakoneta. Mr. Carder was a 1992 graduate of Lima Central Catholic and 1996 graduate of the University of Toledo, with an associate�s degree in law enforcement. He was employed at General Dynamics as a skilled trades sheet metal worker and prior to that worked at Tilton Corp. through Union Local 224. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, motorcycling and being with friends and family, but above all he treasured the precious moments he spent teaching, guiding and loving his boys, Jason and Jesse. Survivors also include two sons, Jason James Carder and Jesse Lee Carder, at home; mother and father-in-law, Gene and Susan Miller, of Elida, Ohio; a sister, Kara (Tom) Bussard, of Dublin, Ohio; a brother, Matt (Ann Marie) Carder, of Toledo, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Chad Miller, of Elida, Ohio; four nephews, Tommy Bussard, Tyler Bussard, Josh Carder, and Logan Miller; a niece, Autumn Miller; paternal grandparents, Orville �Bud� and Clara Carder, of Delphos, Ohio; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ralph and Florence Shumaker. A funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Catholic Church. The Rev. Charles Obinwa will officiate. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the children�s education fund.
