Todd Dawson Obituary
Todd Kevin Dawson passed away on January 31, 2026, at home and with his wife and family by his side.
Todd was born in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska, on June 18, 1959, to Bill Vaughn and Mary Jo Dawson (Thomsen). He was raised in Nebraska City with his sister, Rebecca and brothers, Patrick, Scott, and Jon. Growing up, Todd played football and baseball and enjoyed horseback riding on his grandparents’ farm. His love for riding continued throughout life.
Todd served as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 25 years. His colleagues remember him as an excellent partner and mentor. He served honorably, with skill and dedication, before retiring in 2016.
In life, Todd’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife, Mikala; daughter, Meghan Dawson and husband Leandro Lacava, and their children Claire and William; son, Thomas Dawson and wife Robin, and their children Margot and Henry; daughter, Katherine McGowan and husband Patrick, and their children Samuel and Elliot; and daughter, Shane Dawson and fiancé Robert Mitchell.
Friends and family are invited to attend memorial services, which will be held at Hudson’s Funeral Home in Lander, WY on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
