Todd R. Dewald

Todd R. Dewald, 51, of Tampico, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He was born on May 18, 1966 in Sterling to Craig G. and Barbara (Wolber) Dewald. He was united in marriage to Julie White on June 28, 1986 in Walnut. Todd worked for National Manufacturing Company for 22 years and Rock River Lumber and Grain for the last 8 years. Todd raised mules and horses. He was a local farrier for many years. He enjoyed trail riding and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Julie, of Tampico; his sons, Tyler (Kayla) Dewald of Sterling and Logan Dewald of Tampico; his mother, Barbara Dewald of Rock Falls; his granddaughter, Hadley Kay Dewald of Sterling; and 2 sisters, Catheryn Dewald of Rock Falls and Kimberly (Mike) Cady of Tampico. He was preceded in death by his father, Craig Dewald. Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM on Saturday, April 14 at McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory.
