Todd Kyndal Goalen, age 59, passed away on March 2, 2026. He was born on April 3, 1966 to the late James Wesley and Margaret Elizabeth Philen Goalen.
Todd had a deep love for the game of golf. He not only enjoyed playing but also took great joy in teaching others and helping them improve their game. Many knew him for the patience and passion he showed on the golf course as he shared his knowledge with friends and fellow players.
More than anything, he loved his family. His grandchildren, Kyndal and Gregory, held a special place in his heart and brought him immense pride and happiness. He cherished every moment spent with them and loved watching them grow. Todd will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for golf, and the time he invested in the lives of others. His memory will live on through those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Melodie Goalen; sons, Chase Goalen (Chesley) and Cameron Goalen; grandchildren, Gregory Goalen and Kyndal Goalen; brothers, Mark Goalen (Donna) and Greg Goalen; sister, Maris Stone (Jim). Todd was preceded in death by his father, James Wesley Goalen; mother, Margaret Elizabeth Philen Goalen; and brother, Gary Goalen
A memorial service will be held at Northport Church of God, 2412 Lurleen B. Wallace Blvd, Northport, Al 35476, on Monday, March 9, 2026 beginning at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 PM until service time.
Honorary pallbearers include members and friends from the Northport Church of God; Pastor Greg and Jenny Strickland; Pastor Joey and Lee Ann Turman; Roger Taylor and Adam Taylor of The Dells Golf Club; Spanky and Cindy Stewart; and all of his golfing buddies that were made throughout the years.
