Todd Leslie Goodwin, age 55, passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Jessica, son, Remy and daughter-in-law, Shelby under the loving care of Essentia Hospice after a courageous battle of lung cancer.
Cremation has taken place and at Todd’s request, no services will be held. Arrangements are with Carlin Family Funeral Service of McIntosh and messages of condolence may be shared at www.carlinfuneral.com.
Todd Leslie Goodwin was born February 28, 1970 in Tampa, FL to parents Leslie and Mary Goodwin. Todd spent most of his years growing up in Germany and graduated from Frankfurt American High School.
Todd enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from 1990-1994. He served in Somalia, Desert Storm, Guam and Kuwait. He was honorably discharged in 1994 as a Corporal. He was very proud to be a Marine and would do anything for his brothers.
Todd was united in marriage to Jessica Pearce on September 8, 2001. To this union their pride and joy son, Remy, was born February 19, 2003.
Todd worked many years at Team Industries in Bagley, MN. He was a quality control/site manager and traveled the world working at Federal Military Bases on fuel systems. He retired in 2020.
Todd had a never-ending sense of humor and an affinity for practical jokes. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and a good game of pool, mowing lawns at high speed as well as driving fast sports cars, braking only for Taco Bell. Todd cherished time with friends and family and would do anything for anyone despite the circumstances. He was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan, loved military air shows and talk history or military guns and planes.
Todd is survived by his loving wife, Jessica of 24 years of McIntosh. His beloved son Remy (Shelby) of Fertile, MN. His in-laws, Michael and Carol Pearce of McIntosh. His mother, Mary Goodwin of McIntosh. His best furry friend Baron Von Goodwin. Also surviving are his 3 special aunts and uncle – Patti Benson of Albertville, MN, Judy Hagen of McIntosh, and Lorene (Todd) Tranby of McIntosh. Many cousins whom he loved dearly. Brother-in-law, Jeramie (Anna) Pearce of Fosston, MN. Sister-in-law, Julie (Rob) Halland of Zimmerman, MN. Nephews and nieces – Mason, Dylan (Godson), and Katie (Kennedy) Pearce all from Fertile, MN. Morgan and Rylan Pearce of Fosston, MN. Lane, Drew, Olivia, Will Halland of Zimmerman and Joshua (Shanelle) Andres of Bozeman, MT.
Special friends – Kimberly Spaeth, Garnet Aanenson, Peter Tranby, Kraig and Elaina Kundert, Bob and Laurie Bursheim and Loren and Shelly Zimmel.
