Todd Alan McNeil

Todd Alan McNeil, son of Julius and Delores McNeil, was born on May 8, 1964 in Bronx, New York. He departed this life on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 3:12 am at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Todd was a proud graduate of the New York City Public School system. He attended Manhattan Community College in New York City for two years. While in college he met the love of his life, Gail Henderson and they were married on June 11, 1988. They had an intimate garden wedding officiated by his uncle, Reverend James C. Waters. From this union two beautiful daughters were born, Shanniqua and Sheila McNeil. Todd and Gail purchased their first home for the family in Roselle, New Jersey in 1993. While working with his father Julius at Captain Post, he was introduced to the trucking business. After several years of being employed in the trucking industry, he ventured out on his own and formed TGD Trucking. Todd was so excited when he acquired his first tractor trailer as an owner operator, which was a brand new black International. He will be remembered for always lending a helping hand to his fellow Owner Operators. He was a hard working man who put his family first and encouraged them to strive for success. He told his mother, "You're retired but you need to keep on using your brain." He supported his wife Gail in her decision to further her education. Todd also felt is was of the utmost importance for his daughters to receive college degrees. Todd Alan McNeil leaves to mourn his loving wife, Gail McNeil; two daughters, Shanniqua and Sheila McNeil; parents, Delores and Julius McNeil; sister, Dela McNeil; grandmother, Sarah Woolford; great-aunt, Louise Rock; cousins that were more like brothers, Ronald and Tracy McNeil; mother-in-law, Elaine Henderson; brother-in-law, Donald Scavella; sister-in-law, Joanne Scavella, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
