Todd Nielsen, aged 59, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2024.
Todd was born in Hutchinson, MN to Tom & Connie (Schuft) Nielsen on January 30, 1965. In 1970, the family moved to Hudson where Todd remained a resident until his passing.
Todd's two greatest joys in life were his daughter, Caitlin, and cooking. Any time Caitlin was competing in horse shows, Todd was on the sidelines cheering her on. He was extremely proud of everything Caitlin has accomplished in her life. As for cooking, Todd was an incredible chef and always took pleasure in trying new recipes. He also had nearly every kind of grill, smoker, etc you could find!
In 2001, Todd joined his dad and sister Sara working in real estate for Coldwell Banker Realty where he remained until his passing.
Todd will remain in the hearts of his parents, Tom & Connie, his daughter Caitlin (Kevin) Frank, his sisters Carla (Jim) Cullen and Sara Nielsen, his niece Maren (Charley) Klynderud, his nephew Jordan (Katie) Cullen and his great nieces Daisy & Georgia Klynderud. He is also survived by aunts Jan (Ernie) Breyer, Betty Nielsen and Loretta Schuft as well as uncle Charles Schuft and numerous cousins and special friend Kris Carlson.
Todd was preceded in death by grandparents Ross & Ann Nielsen and Arnold & Elva Schuft, uncles Chuck Nielsen, Wayne Schuft & Gaylen Schuft and aunt Jolene Klawitter.
A celebration of life for Todd will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Visitation will be from 11a.m. to 1p.m. with a service starting at 1p.m. Burial will follow the service at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, a light lunch will be served following the burial at the funeral home.
