Rest In Peace! My mother had a picture that was signed to cousin Pat from Tom Browning on her living room wall. Wish I could have had the honor to meet and know Tom as I loved baseball and still do as a 67 year old man !!!

My Husband and I met him several times. First time at an old timers game at the Crosley Field Replica Ballpark in Blue Ash. Later at Rosie Reds Functions not only inside the ballpark but finally at his Family's Former Bar in Newport, Kentucky. They gave the bar the name Browning on York. His entire family including himself, and his late wife Debbie and his children, including Tucker, the baby born during the 1990 World Series were always super Friendly when we patronized their Bar. Prayers for the Children of Debbie and Tom, as I am sure it's not easy to lose both parents in the same year. May he rest in peace, reunited with Debbie.

I initially met Tom when his daughter and my stepson at the time took piano class together. Once you got over him being a celebrity, he became just Tom. Totally stunned at his passing this week! To his kids, I know it's gotta be especially tough to lose both parents in the same year My deepest condolences to your family. May God comfort you in this time of sorrow He was truly a great man and a friend to all that came into contact with him! R.I.P. Tom

One if the most well liked athletes ever to come pay for years and make his families home here. Tom stepped up to the plate when it came to charity, kids, family, etc. Life was barely about him. It was everyone else. I will miss my buddy dearly

To the Browning Family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your father, I´ve been a Cincinnati Reds fan since the 70s.
I´ve meet your father on one of the Reds Caravans & I also met him in Louisville, Kentucky at a Louisville Bats luncheon when they were announcing the new manager of the Bats, Pat Kelly. Your father was very cordial with the fans, signed autographs & had selfies taken with fans. In this time of mourning, I´ll be praying for the family because I know there are no words that anyone can say to you for your loss. Remember your Dad is with the Father in Heaven. He has been reborn in Christ, and I believe you will all see him again in Heaven. May God bless & comfort you during this morning period.

The news of Tom’s untimely passing is sad and shocking. Durable ace-caliber pitcher, who was fun to watch. His membership in the elite “Perfect Game Club” epitomized his level of skill and effectiveness, and the same is true for his terrific career statistics. The accounts that I’ve read regarding his down-to-earth, fan friendly, and fun-loving nature reveal that he was also a really great guy.

Rest in peace, Tom. You represented yourself, your teams, and the game, honorably.

As a kid I was fortunate enough to have attended his perfect game. The tickets and an SI article stayed in a very modest frame for 31 years until 2019 when he was kind enough to sit down with me and sign the 2 tickets at his bar in Newport after a Reds game. You know, Mr. Browning couldn't have been nicer and even spent some time chatting with me, still an awestruck fan from the old days. He was obviously such a down-to-earth gentleman. I'm forever grateful and sorry for the loss. God bless. ~ Eric Wild, Beavercreek, OH
