Tom, I thought about you so much this week as we marked one month since you passed. As mom packs for Sarasota and I have images of how happy you were there on the courts and with your guy friends, I think: who will ever be as patient as you. Who will ever be patient enough to give me a tennis lesson. The balls would fly to every corner of the court-you´d get a month´s worth of exercise in that one hour- and then it would take 20 minutes to gather balls and sweep the court. But you never tired. And, although my game never improved from year to year, still, each visit, you´d do it all over again. This week I think of your generosity of time and unwavering patience and I am so grateful for you.

I have so many wonderful memories of Tom over the years in many different places - at Tufts, in Margaretville, NJ, NC & most recently in Sarasota. He was always full of generosity, compassion and integrity. It was a privilege, joy and honor to be so fortunate to spend time with him. Much love, many hugs and compassion to you all.

As we approach Thanksgiving, I'm especially grateful for memories of Tom teaching us card games, telling stories, and always bringing so much joy to our family gatherings. His genuine interest in others and vivacity was inspiring.

You loved life. You played til the end. Always trying new things. Always there to support. Life was better when you entered our lives. I will miss knowing you are there. But you told me not to miss you-because you are always here. Love you Tom.

So sorry for your loss. Although I did not know Tom for a long period of time, he was such a kind gentle man. May his memory be a blessing.
