Tom Ross Ables

Tom Ross Ables, 86 of Kenton, Tennessee died on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Obion County Nursing Home in Union City, Tennessee. Born April 6, 1930 in Bogota, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Tom Ables and the late Jim Reeves Ables. He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics. Funeral services for Mr. Ables will be 12:30 PM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service Rev. Clayton Mahan. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. He is survived by one son, Timmy Ables (Tammy) of Troy, Tennessee; three daughters, Robin Nadine Cummings of Newbern, Tennessee, Tammey Gaba (Barry) of Bogota, Tennessee and Tonya Martin (Grant) of Kenton, Tennessee; one brother, Billy Mack Ables of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Peggy Cantrell of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren and seven great- grand children. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of forty five years. Genelle Thedford Ables.
