Tom Stewart Obituary
Tom D. Stewart, Sr., age 94 of Goldonna, Louisiana, passed away March 11, 2026 in Jonesboro.
Born in Chestnut, Louisiana, September 5, 1931 to Alex and Rosa Lee Stewart. Tom worked in the woods and was a dozer operator. He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister, son Dewayne Stewart, great granddaughter Avery Stewart, and great great granddaughter Nova Nealy.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Martha "Mott" Stewart, children Dave Stewart (Edna), Ann Easterling (Mott's son in law, Larry), and Don Stewart (Wanda), ten grandchildren, twenty one great grand children, and ten great great grandchildren.
Tom enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, spending time in God's word, and being surrounded by family.
Funeral services for Mr. Stewart will be held at at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 in the Goldonna Assembly of God Church with Reverends Tim Harris and George Procell officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Friends may visit with the family in the church on Saturday 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
